My experience,
In my 2 years at Dr. Vuong's Lab at CCNY, I analyzed the RHAU conditional knockout B cell phenotype in mice via intraperitoneal immunization, serum immunoglobulin titers analysis, splenic B cell purification, switching characterization, and quantification of germline transcription of non-coding RNA which is functionally indispensable for switching.
Furthermore, I am learning about HBV reactivation in humans. We are currently analyzing the NK cell phenotype of chronic HBV patients.
While doing this amazing research, I am developing a thirst to know about our immune system, the mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions, disease development, and reactivation of virulent infections.
My expertise,
• Cell culture and Flow Cytometric analysis using Cytek Northern and Cytek Aurora.
• Mouse handling and intraperitoneal immunization: spleen and Peyer's patch harvest; B cell purification, stimulation, and staining; and serum antibody titer analysis using ELISA.
• Bacteria cell transformation, recombinant protein expression & purification.
• RNA and DNA purification, PCR, sequence analysis, primer design, cDNA synthesis & qPCR analysis.
• Statistical analysis using Prism & Excel; basic Python programming; protein structure analysis using PyMol.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Bengali, capacity to understand and speak Hindi & understand Urdu.
